FRESH
It all started with a backpack.
I took my backpack to North High everyday. Inside was screen printed t-shirts, chew sticks, oils, incense, and cassette tapes. I would cut hair in the basement and by the time I was 16, I was making $100 a week… in 1995
One day I was coming home from school and a cop came up to me and grabbed my backpack. He thought I was selling more than incense. He asked “what’s in the backpack?” I said
“my business is in my backpack!”
He went through it and all he found were those belongings of a legit business. A business I have grown to this day. So see for me, a backpack is a promise. It’s a promise of opportunity and the promise I made to my mom to run my business well; my own way.
